[PLAYER]
Name: Meesha!
AIM/e-mail: m33sh4/m33sh4_b@fastmail.fm

[CHARACTER]
Name: Marian LeBeau
Codename: Rogue
Age: 16
Character Base: Rogue the X-Men!
Home Reality: Ultimate-verse!
What did this person do wrong to be pulled out by the Timebroker? She absorbed and killed her, then boyfriend at the time, Gambit.
Appearance: Rogue stands about five feet six inches and at 119 pounds may be a little on the slim side considering her age and height. A few years on the streets have a way of taking their toll, especially when things like where you're getting your next meal are scarce. Rogue's sense of style, or lack there of, comes from utilitarian need. She doesn't have a lot of money and can't justify spending a lot on her wardrobe, so the clothes she does by have to last her a while. All she wants is a good pair of boots and a warm jacket during colder months.

Its pretty obviously Rogue doesn't put too much effort into her appearance. Her hair is a tangled mess of auburn and white that could benefit from seeing a comb more often than not. She dresses in layers and can typically be seen wearing a pair of jeans, a few shirts, a hoodie and a pair of gloves (she prefers driving gloves, with the holes over the knuckles) two fingers missing of course.

However, given the opportunity to she does clean up rather well. If you can get her out of her rags and into something a bit more feminine, you’d realize that Rogue actually has a figure underneath the loose and baggy fit of her usual attire. Her skin is fair with a few freckles on her nose. Because of her "permanent" absorption of Gambit, her once green eyes are now red on black, signature of Le Diablo Blanc.
PB: Kaya Scodelario

Powers / Skills Normally Rogue's powers are Involuntary Power Absorption, but as of present the only powers she possess are those of Remy LeBeau/Gambit. Those include:
- Molecular Acceleration: Rogue has the power to take the potential energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy thus “charging” that item with explosive results. She prefers to charge smaller objects, such as her ever-present playing cards, as the time required to charge them is greatly reduced and they are much easier for him to throw. The only real limitation to this ability is the time required to charge the object. The larger it is the more time it takes. Most charging takes place through direct skin contact.

- Enhanced Agility: Rogue's ability to tap energy also grants her superhuman agility and dexterity which gives her an added edge she has used to her advantage by developing a unique acrobatic fighting style.

Due to her Weapon X training, she is a fair marksman and able to handle herself amongst a wide range of firearms. Having absorbed Gambit's consciousness she is fluent in both English and Cajun French and speaks with a hint of a Cajun accent. She also has in her battery of skills a slight hyptnotic charm gleaned from Gambit.
Weaknesses: See "Personality" Also? She's pretty fleshy and can probably be taken out just like any other homo sapien.
Personality: Rogue is more often than not misunderstood. People think she's fussy, critical, bad tempered and picky but that's only because she wants things to be done her way - the right way. This is a sign of cleanliness, although Rogue has one messiest bedrooms and is content just to hang her clothes on the floor. Usually she's too tired after a long day at work to care one way or another about the tidiness of her living space or the state of her clothes. She would argue that she doesn't own anything worth hanging up anyways.

If a minor crises pops up you can be sure Rogue will have everything under control in 30 seconds. Due to her life experiences and those of the people's she's absorbed over the years, she is able to deal with any situation coolly. However, despite this apparent calm exterior Rogue has a dreadful time trying to relax. She can handle other people's problems but when it comes to her own, Rogue's life is a mess. She just can't take her own advice. People perceive her to be reckless and perhaps there is some truth to that. She always acts first and asks questions later. That doesn't mean she isn't dependable or trustworthy. Rogue just has her own way of doing things.

Partly due to her mutation, Rogue has a hard time getting close to people. She believes all she's capable of is hurting people and because of this she is extremely guarded. She's usually not forthcoming with the details surrounding her powers and is generally a very private person. She can be charismatic when she wants to be, but often has difficulty forming meaningful relationships. But once she does let someone get close to her, Rogue is loyal to those she trusts.

Rogue rarely gets attached to any one person, location or thing and often finds herself growing antsy if she's in one place for too long. She values her independence and is unapologetic towards people who don't understand this.
Overview: Rogue was born in Caldecot County, Mississippi, where she was born to the beautiful and scatterbrained Priscilla and her ill-tempered lover Owen. Her parents married far too early in their relationship and were plagued by their mistake constantly. It was merely by accident what happened next: Priscilla got pregnant. Owen was less than pleased at the news and grew jealous of his unborn daughter. He wished to dominate all of his wife's time and affection and feared Priscilla would grow to love her child more than him. She couldn't exactly say she was thrilled at the news either, knowing that it would be all that much harder to leave her husband now and came to resent her child in utero.

Priscilla suffered through Owen's abuse, both physical and mental, until one day she realized that Owen was slowly killing her. In an attempt to escape her loveless marriage, Priscilla joined a back-to-nature commune where she thought she would be protected from him. The commune was simple and quickly accepted the pregnant woman to live amongst them. Owen felt this was an insult to his masculinity and made haste in finding his wife and forcing her back into his home. This pattern would repeat itself two more times before Owen finally squelched Priscilla's spirit and made her promise never to leave him again. Far too depressed and far too pregnant, she complied. It was shortly after she gave birth to a little girl with whom she instantly fell in love and called her Anna Marie.

Fueled with a selfless love for her child Priscilla knew she had to leave Owen once and for all. There was no keeping Owen's temper in check and he hunted Priscilla down for the last time. Blind drunk, Owen sought out his wife at the commune she took refuge It was quite clear he was looking for a fight. Angry words were exchanged and an altercation ensued, resulting in Priscilla being knocked out of a second story window to her death. There were many witnesses and Owen was quickly convicted and sentenced to death for murder. Anna Marie was sent to live with her only other living relative her Aunt Carrie on her mother's side.

Carrie took over Anna's care and in her grief at the loss of her sister, was a strict and authoritarian guardian. Anna Marie was a rebellious child and their poor relationship prompted her to run away from home many times and received the nickname Rogue.

Anna did not go entirely without love. As she grew up she received much attention from the boys of her town. One boy in particular, Cody Robins, quickly attracted her affections and they became a steady item. They were young and reckless and it didn't take much to push them into bed with each other. Their budding love quickly came to a halt when Rogue's mutant powers manifested leaving him in a lifelong coma. Cody would become the first and last person Rogue would kiss. This horrible accident resulted in Rogue fleeing Mississippi, the outraged towns people of Caldecot County and her tyrannical Aunt Carrie once and for all.

Rogue traveled the country doing odd jobs and learning a vast array of menial skills in the process. She could never stay in one place too long without the fear that people would discover she was a mutant. Rogue would force herself to move along, believing it to be better than growing attached and hurting more people, which is when she was picked up by the clandestine organization Weapon X.

As their prisoner, Rogue was forced to commit horrible atrocities and often fought fighting against the X-Men. When the X-Men were touring the world promoting Professor Xavier's book, she touched Colossus, absorbing his memories and thus the layout of The Xavier Institute for Gifted Children. Using this information, agents of Weapon X stormed the school and captured all of the X-Men, except for Wolverine who was away at the time. She was released along with the X-Men, Juggernaut and Nightcrawler, when a combination of the Brotherhood of Mutant Supremacy and S.H.I.E.L.D. rescued them and destroyed Weapon X's facility. Though offered a place on the X-Men, she and Juggernaut joined the Brotherhood of Mutant Supremacy. Rogue was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D custody. However, she was released by Nick Fury into Professor Xavier's custody and thus joined the X-Men.

She had a began a steady relationship with Bobby Drake, Iceman, until she caught him kissing Shadowcat on a trip the X-Men took to Coney Island. Immediately following, the group was attacked by Gambit. He fended off Wolverine and distracted the rest of them by blowing up the giant ferris wheel. He kidnapped Rogue and took her to the Empire State Building. He the revealed to her that he had been hired by Andreas and Andrea von Strucker, two mutants who own the Fenris corporation. They hoped to use her powers for "corporate espionage." In exchange for her help, they promised her they would help her control her powers through a power-dampening material they had developed. It worked in demonstration and they advised her they would graft it to her subdermally when she was "ready." She turned them down feeling that her powers were her penance for the sins of her past. They attacked her and Gambit -- who moved to defend her -- and Gambit was taken down. She touched both of them and used their powers to fend off their guards with help from Gambit, who had quickly recovered.

Rogue and Gambit were met at the front door by Wolverine, who had a previous score to settle with Gambit. Rogue defended Gambit, sparing his life until the rest of the X-Men arrived to take her back. She turned them down, and left with Gambit.

Rogue and Gambit became thieves. They stole the Gem of Cyttorak from a Fenris-owned casino. As they left the casino they ran into Juggernaut who confessed he loved Rogue and resented that she left the Brotherhood to join the X-Men. He recalled a time -- which may have predated even their imprisonment with Weapon X -- when they worked together. Juggernaut then attacked Gambit and Rogue stole his power. Gambit used his mutant power to charge the Gem of Cyttorak with explosive energy and stab it into Juggernaut's helmet. It had the undesired effect of making Juggernaut stronger, and he began pummeling Gambit. Gambit, in a last ditch effort to defeat Juggernaut, charged Juggernaut's helmet and blew it up, then blew out the support beams of a building under construction near where they were fighting. It fell on the both of them and fatally injured Gambit. Rogue found him while searching among the wreckage and was there for his final words and one last kiss. That kiss seemingly transferred what was left of Gambit's life force into Rogue permanently, changing her power template, her eyes, and at times her accent.

Having literally nothing left, not even an identity, made her a prime candidate to be whisked off by the Time Broker. Confused, but having little choice Rogue agreed to help and has joined the band of Exiles in hopes to redeem herself and save her world.
